About this Blog!

Profile PicMy name is Melissa, and I am a kindergarten teacher living in the beautiful Santa Barbara,California. I am an extrovert who loves being with friends, caring for others, and telling people about all the new things I learn everyday. On any given day during the school year, you will find me surrounded by 5 and 6 year-olds doing something that looks a lot like herding cats. But during the summer, you would probably find me at the beach with a good book (probably one intended for children).

In the past ten years, I have learned from my mom about how to love myself with the products I put on my skin and in my body. My sister Rachel just graduated with a degree in Marine Biology and has taught me how to love the earth daily by just changing a few things and using less.

Lastly, while in college, I was enlightened by my good friend Becky Collier about how most of the clothes I wear and products I use are created. She showed me how to love others by being conscious about who makes the things I buy and what their conditions are like.

If you haven’t figured it out, the name Three Loves comes from first loving yourself, then loving others, and loving the earth with the way you live your life.

“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line.” – LucilleBall

I have since done a lot of research on my own, reading other blogs, and personally trying out a lot of products. My friends have been so supportive by showing an interest when these topics come up in conversation, and they have inspired me to create this blog so I can share my own personal journey. I want this blog space to be a place where I can inspire others, but also continue to learn from all of you. I don’t want to be the only one talking here!
